Through my artworks, I attempted to build awareness regarding the negative impacts of beauty standards on women. All over the world, women feel pressured to resemble their countries' definition of "beautiful," which promotes female oppression, negative attitudes towards bodies, and the suppression of self-expression. The exhibition was influenced by personal experience. As a young western female, I am affected by my culture's beauty standard between the daily comments about my gender and society's constant pressure to be pretty.
